It's also good to think about jobs in this regard.
Some jobs try to solve problems that would make them obsolete.
Physicians should heal you but if you're healed, you don't need them anymore.
Teachers should help you to learn stuff (or better: help you how to learn stuff yourself) but when you learned stuff or even learned how to learn stuff on your own, you don't need them anymore.
Programmers should write code to automate stuff and replace humans but the code they write might replace themselves and then you don't need them anymore.
