The Boys of Spring
We can't quite call them the Boys of Summer yet considering it is still February but MLB Spring Training games started yesterday with the World Series favourite Dodgers A ball team laying a beating on the Padres A ball team. It was certainly not the most riveting or meaningful baseball game I have seen but it is good to have baseball back.
A large slate of NBA games yesterday, which @gnilma has recapped nicely in this post #435906. Not sure I can add anything of value to that but I would like to officially start the SGA for MVP bandwagon up. All comers welcome. With Embiid on the shelf, who you got as front runner for MVP?
The Leafs just keep winning, which has me soured on the NHL but I will be dropping the NHL trade deadline contest today.

I have Jokic still. As good as SGA is, I don't think anyone's close to as good or close to as valuable to their team as Jokic.

Maybe next year, when there's voter fatigue working against Jokic again. I think the voters feel a little foolish for not voting for him last year and then watching Embiid once again flame out in the playoffs.
Next year though, there will be a bunch of stupid nonsense about why Jokic can't have 4 MVP awards, because that's more than Bird or the same as Lebron or some other stupid comparison.

Joker already had 2. The judges might factor that in when casting their votes. But damn, that man is playing out of this world! That said, I would gladly jump on the SGA bandwagon. Northman supports northman.

Another 30 point night last night.
Raps aren't doing a very good job of tanking if that's what they are supposed to be doing but nice to see IQ, Barnes playing well and Dick improving. (there was a joke available somewhere there but I haven't had enough coffee yet)

Making Dick jokes are we? Gadey had definitely been hardening his skills and erecting himself as an important member of the roster.
