I get what you're saying, but there is something grander to me about the builders of physical structures, seeking mastery over the timeless and immutable forces of nature, than software builders who more often than not are just trying to wrangle things to conform into an arbitrary and imperfect man-made protocol
Agree, it was a far fetched analogy, but just wanted to build (cha-chin) the point. I do believe that builders that are not just for the gains and attention will come. Heck, Bitcoin is a testament of that, it is not perfect by any means but isn't that just part of the human trade?
As we look back into ancient times and get amazed by the dedication, patience and mastery perfection, future generations will look at this software dudes with the same amazement, IMO.
