You could make this statement in the til the 70s! Nowadays, everything feels is made with a really short preference for quality and durability. Use-and-throwaway mentality!

Sure. I was just thinking about this and I guess you're right. I wasn't trying to imply we all could have watchmaking tools, more just the right to repair is a good principle, IMO.
I personally love the designs that I've seen, not just these or wearables, but blockclock, nerdminers and all that educational and cool jazz. It's more important than people usually give credit for fashionable innovative toys. Imagine that everyone has a black rectangular phone or watch only, made by either apple, alphabet or huawei, seems not so much fun or enjoyable for an intelligent society.
Maybe just the possibility to swap out the battery would be enough to get me!
