Everyone got some sats but this was the winner. Beautiful high elevation and I love the random water up there!

Thanks! Fun fact, the surface is frozen half the year, and it’s home to the biggest, hungriest cutthroat trout I’ve ever seen. Colorado has an invasive species of trout, (brook) that outcompete the native cutthroats and so they are normally quite rare, but the only way into this lake is up a 200ft waterfall, so luckily the brook trout can’t get there.
50mph winds for 2 days straight, then nearly calm for one very nice day!
Thunderstorm came within 10 miles one night, that was the scariest thing I’ve been through in awhile.

That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing. You never know birds could have dropped fish eggs in that water. 😂

Yeah I have no idea how God put any trout up there in the first place! We caught a few 20” ones, takes 13-15 years for them to get that big.

Sounds intense!
