Haha it's not some conspiracy or oversight when leagues merged or something. I am just commenting on the fact that 2 of the 3 they have lost over the years (including last weekend) they beat themselves and should have won.
Ah, ok! I don't know much about American football, but I know that in most sports, the team that plays the best doesn't always win. That's the beauty of many sports, the underdogs can win.
Sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way and sometimes one team capitalizes on the other teams mistakes and one team doesn't and that's the difference. Part of the fun of sports fandom, you never know what will happen.
Cool chart though. It's impressive how great the Steelers have been for many decades. They also seem to be competitive even when not at the top of the league.
In two straight super bowls. Against the best defensive line in the league in 2023 and a top 5 DL in 2024. It's pretty incredible when you think about it. That being said the 49ers beat themselves in spite of that.
