You know me, sucker for more.meat to chew on in a song. Gimme more instruments providing my depth and layers and oooo baby we got a stew going and imma chow right down on it.
I'll have to get to that at the end of the day, don't have access to fountain whilst at work. Look forward to getting this on on my drive home. Cheers deepo 👊
Songhoy Blues is a desert blues music group from Timbuktu, Mali. The band was formed in Bamako after being forced to leave their homes during the civil conflict and the imposition of Sharia law.

That's a really interesting story behind the band.
That blues guitar intro was 🔥. I think it moves more into rock and roll than blues later in the track but sounds great, very similar to the British indie wave of the mid-late 2000s similar sound to Kaiser Chiefs and bands like that.
Where's Charlie gone? Here's a great track from him with a superb infectious bass beat.
Similarities to Sledgehammer is they have an incredible bass driving the track along.
I'm tryna place his similarities but his voice is quite unique. That bass drive though, really makes me wanna slam an overdriven guitar on it in an instrumental section with some kinda solo... Everything needs a guitar solo really they just don't know it yet 😜
I can hear skynyard now you say it. This does have that windows down accelerator on the floor kinda vibe to it (just make sure you come off that accelerator at the right time to not breach speed limits ofcourse.)
Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer
Charlie Puth - Attention
Blackfoot - Fly Away
