I have never been that active. Still, before I became a father, I used to swim occasionally at the swimming pool near my house. I also participated in casual runs. Stuff like the One Piece Run, Music Run, you get the idea. I wasn’t that sedentary.
Unfortunately, I don’t exercise these days, except for walking. But then, walking is such a low-hanging fruit that I am embarrassed to include it in the presence of Stackers who are doing the 100 pull-ups or push-ups challenge every day lol. Last year, I did make it a point to run from my workplace to the subway station after work. But that’s about it. Work life has been crazy this year - and I haven’t resumed this practice yet.
Which is why I’m always surprised that exercise usually comes up in the questions I ask Stackers.
It came up as an answer in my post about “What’s your anti-stress routine and rituals?” (#407607) It appeared again in my post about “What are your routines about getting into the flow?” (#428633)
Okay, now I’m intrigued. My question is: have you always been into exercise before Bitcoin came into your life? Or did you embrace exercise because you wanted to sell more fiat to buy more Bitcoin? Exercise is one of the cheapest ways of spending one’s time and hence, is a habit that you acquire as a result of Bitcoin?

Fun fact: most Japanese people won’t be able to read the hiragana characters as English characters. There was a meme making the rounds a few years ago, with the English letters shaped in terms of hiragana characters - and my Japanese mates couldn’t get it

I grew up in a small town. We only had enough kids that everyone had to participate in every sport or we wouldn't be able to field a team.
As a result, I do enjoy all sorts of random exercise, but there's also no particular routine I've ever gotten into. This 100 pushups until 100k thin is right up my alley, even if it was tough at the start.
Nothing about bitcoin has impacted my attitude towards exercise, but it has exposed me to a community that cares about health and fitness.

Absolutely. I think that has been the greatest benefit of territories. Makes me see Stackers for the complex n multidimensional people that they are

Really? Why in the holy name of Satoshi would Bitcoin influence me like that?
I think you guys fell a bit too deep down the rabbit hole, and need to climb out again.

Exercise hasn't changed for me, but nutrition has. I probably never would have given the carnivore diet a second thought, if I'd even heard about it.
But knowing that some bitcoin personalities that I really respect (such as Saifedean Ammous, author of The Bitcoin Standard) are carnivore - that definitely made me think twice about the whole thing.
