It's money most commonly advocated by hard money types, but it can and should be taken a la carte by all ideologues.

Exactly, the properties of Bitcoin are more appealing to people of certain ideologies, but Bitcoin's gonna Bitcoin regardless of who likes it.

Does the DNS protocol belong to an ideology? It's a protocol. As is Bitcoin. The hard money deflationary design decision falls in line with the Austrian School of Economics.
