Good morning stackers!
It's Friday and that means we're feeling good!
So let's put a spring in our steps with some feel good tracks.
This week I've got Annie Lennox - Walking on Broken glass. Which you wouldn't think was a feeling good, but actually the brightness of the whole tune does give you a little lift.
Let's get after it today!

Jason Mraz

If this doesn't make you feel good, nothing will. I'm going to go off an JM listening spree now.
reply
It does make you feel good. I've still got a long list of stuff from all the other submissions to dive further into before I can get to Mraz but he's on the to do list.

Your drive home is sorted out for tonight πŸ˜„

Indeed. I've been busy that's for sure. With some great stuff. Hell if I know what half the tracks are called but I liked them πŸ˜‚

Pete Townshend - Let My Love Open The Door

Great track my the legend Pete Townshend.

When I hear this song I always think of this version by Steve Carrell and Dane Cook from the film Dan In Real Life
reply
Fair play to the actors on this, it may not be great and is probably closer to comedy than recording quality sound 🀣 but I love it when I see people having a good time just playing music.
reply
This feels like my level of how I could do the song justice, not rubbish, not great, I just didn't murder it.
reply
🀣 I'm sure you could do alright with some practice.

Got that 70s rock sound. Puts a smile on your face and a spring in your step. Great shout 03 πŸ‘Š

Very Nice one

Yaknow, I'm surprised its taken this long and this many feel good Fridays before we got the legend that is James brown.
(If we've had it before I apologise, I can't keep up with what meals I've had in a day let alone what music I've heard that day 🀣).
Icon, with an iconic track. Great submission.

The kid in the opening has it all figured out. What makes him happy? Fishing with his dad. If only we could see the joy in the small things as adults. Perhaps we just need to be more kid, allow our inner child out more.
Great message in the lyrics, and she's got a really nice voice.

Love this, what a great track

I have a soft spot for pop. Miley is going to be the next generations Dolly I think.
reply
Love the tune you picked but is it really a Feel Good track?
On the bright side, I finally sorted out my subscriptions so I am getting notified of your posts now.
That has me feeling good on a Friday.
reply
I thought that too initially but I did start to hear the brightness in the track, the usage of those staccato strings, the bright keys. Annie sounds like she's singing with a smile on her face. The lyrics may not fit the theme for sure... But it sure felt good belting it out on my way in this morning πŸ˜‰.
My notifications have gone strange recently, I'm not getting push notifications about replies so I have to manually open up and check. πŸ€”
Good day sunshine has that almost toy story feel to it, I can see it being played whilst Pixar roll the credits and we watch "deleted scenes" of woody and buzz just being them.

For someone who would normally be put in the "metalhead" category, I got a soft spot for Selena, she's got great vocals, really lovely tone to her voice. And by all accounts is just really good to her fans and I love that.
I don't listen to much SandΓ© but credit where credits due, she's talented with really great vocals and that song is an absolute bop. She might be one of Britain's best (current) exports.
