Goodwin seems to be confused about libertarianism. Most are all on board with shutting down government services/agencies and allowing private companies to replace them. I know he's focusing on CBDCs but all bitcoiners are not libertarians and all libertarians are not bitcoiners. Plenty of libertarians do not care about these topics. Plenty of libertarians have no issues with shitcoins, CBDCs, or any private money. Many are also bitcoiners...
His points on Javier Milei are not new. Its hard to say where he will land. Like all politicians its more important what he does vs. what he says. What is unusual is what he's saying. I do not think Milei is a savior. The bitcoiners that think that are naive. It is very possible that Milei is a puppet of power elites. Maybe he wasn't from the start. Maybe he isn't now. This is the problem with the state. It runs on corruption. It is a corrupt institution. The incentives are all wrong.
I'm not ready to dump on Milei. Here's the deal. I think Argentinian would be better off in private sector hands. Even if they are evil like Blackrock. It is probably better than socialism. We get so obsessed about this stuff though. Its honestly dumb when you think about it.
I don't live there. What I think doesn't change reality. What I do has impact on my life. I should focus on that. Ignore the noise. Bitcoiners aren't really making an impact from their keyboards on politics in Argentina.
