The post-Super Bowl drought has begun. I'd love to see some NBA odds start going up on freebitcoin, but in the meantime they just put up a ton of soccer games and round 3 of the Six Nations Rugby Tournament that stackers are surprisingly excited about.
If you like underdogs, Wales and Italy have some preposterous sportsbook listings.
I ended up being about 3k sats in the black on the NFL season. The Super Bowl more or less broke even for me.
I was very happy to see that @ekzyis is working towards using real sats for his prediction market site delphi market. Even if the stakes are capped at low values, it will be fun to be able to generate our own wagers on whatever outcomes we want.

@Undisciplined, what is the account creation and withdraw requirements for freebitcoin?
Anything needed more than an email?
Do they support lightning withdraws?
Minimum withdraw threshold?
reply
I think they only required an email. I've never withdrawn anything, but it looks like the minimum is 30k sats and the current fees are 183 sats.
The biggest problem with the site is that it doesn't have LN for either deposits or withdrawals.
There is an hourly faucet there, so you could wager with the free sats you draw, but you'd obviously have to start pretty small.

current fees are 183 sats.
That is not enough for a on chain transactions. Are they charging a fee (to be paid to the website) to withdraw?
I would think they would just a small cut of each bet.
reply
Good point, although I messed that up and it's 843 sats. I'm not sure if that's in addition to the on chain fee.
a small cut of each bet
They use a pooled betting system and take a fixed amount out of each payout pool. You can actually get better-than-fair odds. I detail the betting system in this post.

I was still up 10k even though I lost 5k sats on the 49ers in the Super Bowl. I bet on a couple cricket matches yesterday but just 100 sats each because I have no clue. I guess I will try my luck on the next round of rugby games as well as I seem to be at least holding my own.

I'm surprised you don't have any interest in soccer betting. You seem to actually know something about that odd European pastime.

There are just too many games, too many teams, too many leagues to keep track of. It's like following NFL in 5 different countries at the same time. Maybe if I just stick to one league like EPL I could get interested but have always found following soccer overwhelming.
