Exploring what a sign up form could look like for a browser extension.
Since it is possible people will have more than one nostr profile, for personal and perhaps business or projects, it would be positive to be able to house more than one profile in an extension. If that were the case, they'd need to be easily distinguishable, showing name and, if possible, profile image.
Other possible features:
  • Copy npub
  • Share link to profile
  • Not confusing npubs and nsecs by keeping secret keys in a separate page, or at the end of the page in a separate section.
Logging in to Nostr means having the ability to access multiple clients, but that also means figuring out which login type is supported. I don't know if it's technically feasible, but it would be nice to have an extension that could house both a bunker and an nsec, and other types of possible ways to login that may exist in the future.

look's great! I'd suggest exploring and try how existing clients are dealing with multiple profiles management. Stacker news itself has this option (switch profile). Have you tried?
Some other nostr-exclusive clients allow this option too, check for example nostrudel.ninja
reply
I have not tried that yet. Appreciate the suggestion.

Login and sign up pages may seem simple but a designer could spend several days on daily challenges tackling different aspects of these forms. I picture them like doors to spaces yet to explore. You may not know exactly what you'll discover once you enter, but their design can carry a spark of personality, enticing the viewer to log in.

Nostr, by its nature, will have more options than platforms. It becomes important to find ways of simplifying the process. In this case, a drop down button can help reduce the visual noise of seeing multiple options at the start. It would also be a nice addition to have a button that leads to an explainer page with a compare and contrast of various options.

Thank you for sharing these sign up options, they both look interesting. the dropdown is useful is the system is able to detect information from the user device and display the latest/common one.
A good way to start nostr onboarding is nstart.me that provide a guided tour and explanation on the different options.
Don't remember it mentioning the extension, from what I know, it only works from desktop, as only few (chromium based third-party) mobile browsers currently support browser extensions.

Thank you. I will look into it.

stumbled on Flash UI challenge yesterday and I have decided to hop in and turn in at least 2 challenges per week. But for now, here is a simple Sign Up and Sign In page for Flash Pay: @Design_r

Hey @thetimileyin thanks for your submission! Much appreciated your contribution. I assume Flash Pay is a payments app, but was unable to find anything online. It's something you came up with?

Thank youu.
Yeahhh, It’s just a design exploration I came up with. The idea is to make Sign up has straightforward as possible so users can get into the app in no time where they will be promoted to complete KYC and provide other details of theirs.
reply
Well KYC and bitcoin does not really go well together! But good job exploring this option
reply
Trueee. But if this idea was to be pursued further, there would have been need for KYC. Nothing serious though, just basic stuff.
Thanks for the pointers
