so who does Bloomberg speak for? From the perspective of transnational corporations, illegal immigration is indeed a giant stimulus program.
It imports a pool of super-cheap labor that can be absolutely exploited, because the employers can (and regularly do!) call the police on them if they resist their exploitation in any way. This drives down wages for the rest of the work force, who have to compete with people who are not on the same legal footing as they are. As a bonus, you get a political talking point out of it. Conservatives love illegal immigration, because they get to publicly hate it. Witness the US Congress refusing to pass a spending bill that has money for the border crisis in it - they're protecting an election topic they can rile people up with. Conservatives are not the solution here, they profit from this, on multiple levels, in PR as well as in support for/from their friends in high business. (nobody here is on your side.)
The other side of this is the instigation of forever wars, which are of course not exclusively meant to drive immigration to imperialist countries, but do ALSO have that effect, which serves the transnational enterprise class quite well and is one more reason for them to support these wars. None of this, of course, is the fault of the immigrants. They're getting their lives destroyed and then squeezed (as well).
so who does Bloomberg speak for?
This. Bloomberg does for the financial class what the NYT/WaPo do for the political class -- carry water over systemic failures and justify endless monetary inflation. They're also a mouthpiece for the west so if some issue concerns the interests of other nations, guess which way Bloomberg is leaning?

thanks for the article. just a few figures from Germany: Germany has been experiencing an incredible wave of illegal immigration since 2015, attracted by the generous welfare state, which finances rent, ancillary rental costs, health insurance and about 600 € cash per month per capita. the entire migration program now costs the German taxpayer over 50 billion euros a year! this is money that only flows into consumption, which is withheld from the investment economy - a real impoverishment program. illegal emigration is a disaster, as usually people come whose labor productivity is not significant. At least the welfare state ponzi gets eliminated that way

A welfare state cannot afford immigration

Nope

Conservatives hate illegal immigration. We wish we didn’t have to talk about it
The left loves illegal immigration. The left has no interest in solving the border crisis. For 3 years Biden said there is no border crisis. He recently changed his talking point because of his stand off with Texas.

Every community should have the right to decide who can live with them and who stays permanently.

A wall will solve the border crisis. The crisis exists because our politicians don’t want to fix it
