Not only do I take notes, but I also underline the lines that I find important.

If I'm really reading a book and have the time I'll usually take notes in something like a trello board. I haven't had time for this since I started SN. Absent that I'll take notes in the book that I'm reading.

Interesting!

I don't tend to read non-fiction so not really. But my wife reads a lot of different styles of books and underlines/highlights the things she finds helpful ... Our copy of "atomic habits" is just pink yellow and green highlighter everywhere 🤣🤣

You, sir, are a savage.

Same.
I tend to read multiple books at once. Underlining the parts that sing to me as well as annotating my thoughts help me to immerse myself into the book quickly again

I only recently started, but I wish I had done it earlier.
The book "How to Take Smart Notes" was surprisingly interesting and, of course, practical/useful.

Cool!

I mostly read electronic books (kindle) or articles from my rss clients. I occasionally take notes and highlight passages quite often. Writing this makes me realise I should take more notes...

Never, when I read a book I try and keep it like new - no writing, highlighting, underlining, or folding over page corners for me.

I was like that once too. It's a situation that stems from love for books. I still love books, but it seems like they become more valuable to me when I keep notes.

I’m all in on digital highlights and kindle. Sickening I know lol. It’s just nice to be able to pull up my highlights anywhere easily.

Age of technology. I hope there will be no software-related evaporation.😉

When I read paper book I underlined all what I wanted to reread. Now with ebooks I take a screenshot and use virtual pen to underline information

So strange and cool!

In certain books that have become “reference material”, I have made lots of notes, but most books I do not ever come back to read them again.

I appreciate... I believe good books should be read two or more times. You get more out of that book every time. And the notes you've taken double or triple that benefits.
