PRAYER OF THE DAY - Jeremiah 16:19

Lord, my refuge and fortress,

On this new day that begins, I come to you with a grateful heart for your constant presence in my life. You are my strength when difficulties arise, my light when darkness surrounds me and my shield when challenges present themselves.

I recognize, Lord, that I often stray from the right path, seeking refuge in vain and fleeting things. But today, with your help, I want to turn to you, the only true God, who offers me peace, hope and eternal life.

May your word, Lord, be the lamp that guides my steps on this day. May I discern right from wrong, always seeking to do your will. May my words and actions reflect your love and grace.

May I be an instrument of peace and justice in the world, bringing your message of hope to everyone in need. May I be an example of faith and perseverance, demonstrating your transformative power in my life.

In the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior,

I pray and thank you.
