There are worse things than losing a phone--a home--a child. You are still young enough not to know that yet I'd wager.
It was not just about phone, it was about finding job, struggling with exams, maintaining friends and much more. After all these events within 1 year, when I lost my smartphone which was way above my budget. Realizing all that hard earned money got wasted that broke me.

You still aren't picking up what I'm putting down. Those all seem like very important things, but they are but a drop in the bucket compared to losing a child, or a parent, or becoming entirely bankrupt and having to move somewhere among people you don't know to a place you've never been.
