It used to determine home field advantage in the World Series but they don't do that anymore. Now they have a bonus pool of 640k for the winning team.

As lame as the NBA All-Star Game has become, there are still occasional moments of actual competition and it's cool to see those.

NBA all star game is still worth watching I think. Because they have so few players on the teams compared to other sports you know you are getting the elite of the league and it's cool to see superstars who are usually competing now playing together.

Even if they don't play what we think of as competitive basketball, they do competitive with each other about hitting deep 3's or throwing down crazy dunks and that can be entertaining.

I am not much of a partier anymore but when the All star game was in Toronto the city was buzzing and everyone was having a great time.

It's an on again, off again love affair for me. I was really into sports when I was younger and then for about a decade between building and managing my business, starting a family etc I really didn't pay much attention. I watched big games and followed the happenings of my favourite teams but I wasn't following very closely. Just the past couple years as I have had more free time after selling my business I have gotten back into sports in a big way.

My main goal is to build up the territory and use sports as a way to bring new users to SN and thus interacting with bitcoin and to have some fun doing it.

It's uncanny how similar our fan experiences have been. I also stopped following sports closely for about ten years. I started watching again as a way to relieve grad school stress and got hooked.
