Howdy there, partner! Welcome on into the Stacker Saloon.
Saddle on up to a stool and spill the beans about your day, fire away with them questions, or let loose and give us the lowdown on your wild and woolly life. We're all ears, so don't hold back!
We're open round the clock, so mosey on in whenever you please!
Welp stackers MKB convinced me. Apple Vision Pro. Here I come!!

What is the simplest physical proof of work? What came to mind was handmade leather goods. It'd be neat to have a piece to work on from time to time, with every stitch or marking serving as proof of well-crafted time spent. I also like the idea of holders perfectly made for the items in my life. Maybe another crazy hobby idea but what better to share as I saddle on up to a stool.

Today is Setsubun, a Japanese festival. I was unceremoniously deployed to wear this demon mask and act as a demon. My son had fun throwing beans at me because beans also sound like destroying evil in Japanese. After throwing the beans, we picked them up and ate them - one for each year of our lives.
Sounds like a great opportunity to spice up the everyday routine and have some fun

went to the weekly bazaar, a bit tired and not gonna lie: it's so much easier just click and order, but the cost of that convenience is that you don't really get to choose ( the fresher ones ), and neither knowing where do they come from.
You really need to do the work to get good stuff. 😂

Working on my cosmological phase part transitions.
@Bitman, I'll give the Westworld theme a shot this evening (so in about 6-12 hours). And thanks for the request! I actually struggle with knowing what to play. I think in the past, I always wanted to finish one song first but then I got bored and then instead of trying to play something else, I just didn't play at all, lol.
I think that's why after all these years the only song I can play in full is Mad World from Gary Jules. But seems like the next one is going to be Californication from Red Hot Chilli Peppers. :)

Just to add that the original Mad World is from Tears for Fears, not Gary Jules https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1ZvPSpLxCg

'Tis true - and it's also the Easter Egg video track on the DVD that I mentioned.
(Edit) Nope, I checked, it was Echo & The Bunnymen video, Killing Moon, that was hidden.

Howdy partners!! The weekend has officially begun and it's time to get off the charts, let work stay at work and just enjoy some quality time with the family, friends or alone. As long as it's quality and a treat for yourself, why not, you deserve it my friend, it's the first weekend of February so enjoy it to the fullest my good friend. So sit back and let your bones rest and delight your senses with your chosen treat, could be a nice cold one by the porch, a walk with the family, a nice juicy steak and the game on the tube, whatever your treat may be, as long as it's legal, enjoy it my friend!!! May your day be productive and filled with love, joy and happiness. As always, be well and stay frosty!

SNIP @sn

What if the SN suggested a territory when posting? It must have happened to other Stackers, like me, not being sure which territory is the most appropriate.
reply
lol SNIP, I like it.
It would seem that the underlying algorithm used for determining related posts could also be repurposed to suggest a territory.

Honestly, if you can work online, living somewhere with better weather and closer to nature brings so much joy: more peaceful, better quality of life, and great value for money - sounds like an easy math to me.
Okay, one of the downsides that I found is that most young are too busy hustling in big cities, so you might be mostly around elderly people, but that also means more skills to learn, good to stack those that are going extinct, even simple things like cooking, cleaning, or even making things with your own bare hand, because most people might even relying on shitGPT to know how to fry eggs one day.
maybe if I keep talking about it, more smart youngs would do the same? 🫣

Are you trying to trigger me, talking about how I live in a place with less than 100 people (permanent residents)? I left a big fucking city 12 years ago and never regret it
reply
the art of trying but not quite trying!
my best attempt so far is in a place around 600 people and had the best food ( all grew next door ) and the tastiest tap water ( directly from the mountain! ), but I still lack many skills to live in that way, the good news is seeing the problem is the first step at solving it.
Alternatively can’t they just get a fried egg delivered? Instead of using AI just have the robots make and deliver it.
But this second part is interesting. As the younger kids say it’s a skill issue. They understand the importance, just need to touch grass to learn it.

they can - so they need to work harder to earn more to pay the robot to do it for them. 😂

I realized that seeing how people do or make things, in general, helps and encourages you to try and test it ( I guess that's how babies or kids learn ) maybe you just need to know the right method or have more patience, but then on the internet these days, it either keeps saying it's difficult or telling you conflicting information, and it's better to buy ( trust others ) instead of doing it myself.

I found great balance in a town of 35000 a little over an hour outside a major city. Small town life with access!

I hate to say it but i dont like corporations. I also dont like the state. This makes me a super minority i assume.
But i think that other people also dont like corporations or the state, but they are currently employed by them so they will defend them anyway. Most others arent aware of how they make things worse, so they dont dislike them either. It is what it is.
