When users want to create a post with a poll, they can click 'optional' above the text box to create one.
I tried to use this today out of interest and it no longer seems to work.
It could easily just be me having one of my senior moments, but it'd be helpful if someone else can confirm or deny...
I just tested it an it seems to work. I think there might be some confusion around how it works.
You're not wrong there. I was able to create one in September - so I know I've actually created one - but boy, I've no idea now! Come to think about it, I remember when I did create the poll, I found how to do it by accident...
Incidentally, this recent foray into trying to click 'options' wasn't with the intention to create a poll.
Instead I wanted to check whether SN's poll tailoring abilities had changed since I used it.
I'm always drafting posts ideas, I've a few dozen on the go rn.
One draft idea that's high on the list is exploring SN poll limitations and to get a discussion going as to how it might improve.
(Ironically, I never thought about improving how to start a poll.)
I think you're talking about the
