Let’s be honest. No side actually wants to fix the problem. It is more useful to keep the problem around and blame the other side for it.

Admittedly my response was a bit flippant and jaded but I stand by what I said. It is the only way I can make any sense out of why both political parties act the way they do.
There have been several instances in my lifetime where both the Democrats and Republicans have had control of the House, Senate, and Presidency and yet didn’t bother to fix any real issues. Sure they will fix things around the edges to appear to care but that’s about it.
I don’t defend either party. I find them both deplorable. If I had my way Congress would have term limits and everyone currently there would be voted out.
