For her to watch or for her to play? At 5, I think she can only play simple games like Mario Party or Scribblenauts Showdown or maybe Mario Kart 8 Deluxe if you turn on all the control assists.
If she just watches, and you or your son is playing, I highly recommend Super Mario Wonder if you guys are into 2D platformers. Or Super Mario RPG if you like JRPGs. Or Super Mario Odyssey, which is a masterpiece and still a great game 7 years after its release. I think I spent over 100 hours on that game.
Overcooked and Overcooked 2 are both fun to play solo but extremely fun and very much rage inducing with local multiplayer.
I recently bought Pikmin 4 but have not found time to play it yet. It seems like a fun game and hopefully I find time to play it soon.
BTW, some of the third party games are also available on Steam and you might be able to get them for a cheaper price if you're fine with gaming on your PC/Mac. Also, many games have demos, so be sure to check out the demo before you buy the game. Finally, Nintendo seem to be having a sale now on a lot of games. Be sure to see if you can find some good deals that you're interested in. Hope this helps and have fun gaming!
Thanks for the recommendations. She loves watching her brother play Super Mario World. I would like a game she can play as well though so maybe look at a couple others you suggested. I was thinking animal crossing as well.

Animal Crossing is more of a single player collect and build game, which has less action and might be less interesting to watch as a back seat gamer. Check out youtube videos of gameplays and reviews of games you and your son are interested in. Like my 5 year old son, your daughter will probably be happy to just watch, because they realize they are not that good at playing yet at this young age. She will start joining you guys probably at 7 or 8.
