"He who throws a sat away, throws a Bitcoin away" — it's gonna be a proverb in 500 years guys, wait for it 🧠
I saw a podcaster on Fountain last year complain that users only sent a few dozen sats his way. "That's only a few cents!" If he held onto them, those sats are not worth quite a lot more... but let's assume the price of BTC were the same today as it was then. The greater point is that he supposedly cared about Bitcoin, but not really — he didn't care about the most basic unit of Bitcoin, so how could he really care about the whole?
That mentality infects us in a lot of ways. We think think about the macro, "Get a better job," more than we think about the micro, "Make connections where I want to work." In economics, the principle behind this is time preference, but in a broader sense, we're really just talking about work.
Before making a sculpture, carve rock. Before writing a book, write words. Before being "Bitcoin rich," mind your sats.
So whoever you are reading this 📖; whatever the thing you're working on may be, remember to isolate its true roots and focus your mind on it!
I spent 10 sats to post this. Money well spent and not wasted!
