I think you're right to be suspicious. Grand utopian visions rarely work out as intended

Count me as one who thinks this will be abandoned, and if it's not abandoned, what is eventually delivered will be a total clusterfuck.  But I'm a sucker for thinking big about architecture and the macro built environment.
