how the f--- does RTL work on btcpayserver?

I setup a node or two...spent $400 each for incoming and outgoing and now I can't receive payments anymore. I basically lost $800 on this garbage.

RTL is just a web frontend for node. What it has to do with it? Are transactions confirmed and channels operating?
