I've seen his book online, and thought it was quite interesting -- basically, trying to uncover the dynamics of a business environment, viewing it as an ecological model, really, although I don't think he talks in those terms.
It seemed useful for thinking through complex domains.

I made the post shortly after starting to read his book. So it's still very early, but so far I find it fascinating.
The book is free, but there's also a paid online course - based on the book, but by someone else - that looks promising. I may consider taking the course.

Yes, sort of. A client asked my to help them expand their business into "adjacent areas because their growth has stagnated". They've been managing properties for more than 30 years. When they couldn't articulate any business strategy to me, I decided to try and address that first.
