The Heat closed out their regular season in dominating fashion. Sweeping the Sydney Blue Sox in a four game series. The winning weekend vaulted them into 2nd place in the ABL heading into the playoffs.

The Heat won the first game of the series 5-4 and then followed that up with a 6-2 and 7-6 win in a Saturday doubleheader. Finally, they closed out the series and season with a big 14-8 victory. They have one game that was postponed due to rain that is not being made up as it will not impact the standings with them being 4.5 games out of first and 2.5 ahead of 3rd.

The Heat will be playing a best of 3 game series next weekend in the semifinals. ABL has not announced the schedule for next weekend yet but I imagine it will be 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3, which would pit the Heat against the 3 seed Brisbane Bandits.
