well i wanted to read it but it's paywalled once you get to the meat of it. i'd even pay some sats to read the rest but i'm not getting a subscription. bummer.

Hey, I have an idea for Substack. Lots of people love and support some of the authors that are publishing on Substack. I do, myself.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a feature on Substack, where instead of just expressing your appreciation with a comment, you could express your appreciation by "sponsoring" the post, and making it free to read?

Kind of like how in the Roman era, there were "patrons", who sponsored authors?

Maybe when the Substack author wrote the article, they could set an amount, and if someone pays that, the article would be removed from behind the paywall, and made public...
