Maybe I misunderstand, but you could upgrade your wallet? That might still require a hop before the utxos work the right way. I hope someone clarifies.

Very interesting to read a more in depth hands on technical review of tap root so my question is when it is finally adopted by all then will I have to like they did in the example generate a new wallet with taproot implemented then send to myself again?? I gotta run my next node on bitcoin core next n not b a simpy.... lol jk kinda
