I know you all had CJ Stroud and Jordan Love looking like hall of fame QBs in their first playoff games on your bingo cards. Unbelievable performances by the Texans and Packers. I am going to admit, the Packers were so impressive yesterday that I am just ever so slightly concerned about them matching up with the 49ers on Saturday. The playoff Cowboys are who we thought the playoff Cowboys were but the Packers and Love are hot right now. Sometimes it is better to be hot than good. I am still confident that the 49ers will win that game fairly easily (spread is 10 and I think that's probably about right) but if Love can play like that again and the Pack can run like that again and the 49ers have a bit of rust from all their stars not playing for 2 weeks it could get interesting.
Congrats to @tnuts420 and his Detroit Lions for winning a hard fought game against the Rams and earning another home playoff game. Waited 30 years for one and now you get another a week later. Detroit must be buzzing. See ya in the NFC Championship (I just jinxed it for both teams).
Speaking of fellow stackers and their teams, has anyone seen @BlokchainB? Has he joined the Bills mafia who are presently trying to shovel out Highmark Stadium prior to todays game. Pretty wild scene at Highmark over the weekend. Hopefully they can get it cleared out in time for the game. Best of luck to the Bills.
I will probably jump on during the second half of the game tonight if anyone is around and pay the wildcard pick 'em bounty after the game. Getting to watch both the Cowboys and the Rams get eliminated on the same day was a highly satisfying day of football. I am just going to leave this here and be on my way.
Sats for all, GR
how 'bout them lions! it was a long time coming, but getting to see them win one at home was amazing! the second half was extremely stressful, but they held on and put up the w, which is all that really matters.

Congrats! From one long suffering fan to another.

Would you rather play the Buccs or Eagles?
reply
normally i'd say bucs for sure, but the eagles have looked really bad last few weeks. i might still be riding high from last night, but i think we should be able to handle either one

Did you guys catch Dame's OT buzzer beater in the Bucks vs Kings game last night? That play was crazy!
reply
I've been neglecting the NBA lately.
If you have any trade season thoughts, check out the trade season contest we're doing.

I saw the trade season contest post a few days ago. My thought had always been Siakam to Pacers for Hield and some picks. But GR already took that trade, so I was just trying to come up with another possible trade. Looking at Dejounte Murray possibly to the Lakers or Warriors, as both the Lakers and the Warriors desperately need a change before the trade deadline.

Nice pick.

I could see Miami trying to land Murray, too. He's got a much smaller contract than I had thought.

Yeah I’m from Wisconsin. Good stuff recently!

Pack are playing well and fun to watch.
reply
No, I was too focused on football. I watched about 5 minutes of Suns and Blazers after the Rams/Lions game but then had to take the dog out for a late night walk and missed the end.

The Cowboys are in a rough spot going forward. Having a really good regular season QB who chokes in the playoffs is tough to get out of.
If they move on from Dak, they'll almost certainly end up with a worse QB, which will make it hard to even get into the playoffs. If they keep Dak, it's just going to be more of this.

They are the Maple Leafs of football. Have a great regular season team that can't get it done in the playoffs and should probably tear it down and start again but have a passionate captured fanbase that will accept hope as a strategy.
Jerry Jones is never going to give up power in the org so you probably aren't going to get a coach like Belichick. It will be interesting to see if they fire McCarthy. He did a good job to revamp the offense this year but that was one monumental collapse.
reply
I think they'll go the coaching change route, but I also don't think that's the problem.

HEY HEY HEY HEY!!!
Let’s go BUFFALO!

Congrats. Great game. Now take down those Chiefs.

I didn’t watch any of the games but I was very surprised by the results. Crazy stuff!
reply
Yes definitely a couple upsets, which isn't too surprising, but the fashion in which they occurred was quite surprising.
