I first heard about these nuclear diamond batteries a few years back, and still think about them every so often. So I was pleasantly surprised to see a commercially developed version today, especially while I await a potential winter blackout. I just wonder how much of our electrical demand this tech can ultimately take off grid.
I'm fairly suspicious of anything being marketed by Chinese companies. How confident are we that this is legit?

I'm cautiously optimistic. On one hand, yeah, it seems too good to be true. But on the other, what surveillance state wouldn't want to have independently powered IoT devices?
I don't have the mental wherewithal to look deeply enough into this to make any kind of determination, but I love to hear about new battery technologies.
