Title, really.
I find myself day dreaming every-so-often about the occasional fight for survival out there in the wilderness, only to remind myself that I still haven't spent a single night outdoors, realizing that my little scenario would be my sweet, personal death trap.
What about yours? What have you done?
The silence can be amazing. Phones don’t work, and if you are with someone, there is rarely a need to talk. You can go days and maybe exchange a few dozen words if any at all. And you take complete responsibility for yourself. Break a bone or start bleeding? It’s up to you to take care of it, and walk yourself out. Wilderness I wouldn’t go alone, unless I had an In-reach and a bush plane scheduled. Do it though, it changes you.

Yeah I wouldn't dare doing anything more extreme on my own, problem is I don't have anyone to do this with.

I’ve stayed over night in a remote location not a mapped out “camp ground” tent, supplies needed an all. It’s a great experience. I highly suggest it.
