Thanks for mentioning. Any idea why it hasn't been enabled by default yet? Seems like a pretty great tool to differentiate themselves from the competition. Says it's supported in macOS also.
Some annoying practices & email authentication during signup with Proton, making their service a huge turn-off for me.

Could not agree more. I imagine they justify it because they have a free VPN offering and need to protect themselves from 'spam' accounts.
For a company priding itself on 'privacy' though - it sure gives-off a poor first impression.
