Wrote this for my students and thought I would just post it here. Have a great week stacking!
We like our school motto, “Never give up”. It inspires us to stay strong.
Yesterday, we had Reading Tuesday. Our English teacher read to us a story about beginnings.
When he saw the word ‘flowers’, he shared Hiroshima’s bombing with us. He told us that red canna flowers bloomed after the bombing. It represents the “never-give-up” spirit.
We were delighted to learn something new. From now on, when we need to persevere, we will think of the canna flower.
