Scenario:
There is a $500,000 home you want to buy. You can buy it with USD or the seller will give you the option to buy it with 10 bitcoin.
Bitcoin market is what it is. Most analysts think bitcoin ETFs will be approved tomorrow. This would likely lead to an increase in price. The halving coming up is also speculated to lead to an increase in price.
Option 1: Buy it outright. Option 2: Make down payment of 1 bitcoin and pay out remaining 9 over 30 years.
I guess what I am wondering is whether the deflationary properties or volatility of bitcoin make you more or less likely to use it for a big purchase in today's climate.
I know the users of this site lean towards never using USD, but I don't think I could convince myself to spend my bitcoin on anything right now.
