Anyone using the Zettelkasten method for knowledge management? Looks very interesting for organizing thoughts and doing research. Also fits my "Plain Text" lifestyle. http://www.markwk.com/plain-text-life.html. Interested to learn how you all manage your own information
My "lesson learned the hard way" is that when choosing note taking / todo application it's a good idea to limit yourself to do it at most once per quarter. This is because there is infinite number of note taking / todo applications. For example in the class of outliners / "Personal Knowledge Management", some good ones are:
- Obsidian (I'm really enjoying this one recently - syncing across devices with Syncthing)
- Athens
- Roam
- Foam
- logseq
- RemNote
It's a good idea to use the ones that store text in markdown, because then it's much easier to switch to some other tool later...
