Not all games are created equal this weekend. Some mean absolutely nothing and others mean absolutely everything for teams trying to get in the playoffs or win their divisions.
Watching the Jags vs Titans. It's hilarious that people think Trevor Lawrence is an elite QB. He is not a bad QB but I don't even know if he is top 10.
I think probably, I feel the smart play here is to extend Kirk to a 2yr deal somewhere in the region of 35-38mil a year. And draft a QB in the first round of this really talented QB draft.
Let the young guy learn from a mentor like Kirk and go from there. I know historically Kirk's not taken a team friendly deal before because (and I'm all for get yourselves paid when it comes to players) he's a business man and he knows the value of his services. However... There's more at play, does he want to uproot his family? He seems to have taken a really part in the community. Sometimes it's not all about money and I think an older Kirk now understands that. I hope he retires a viking (and hell with his football IQ, I kinda hope when he retires from playing that we offer him a coaching job). But there's only so much money in the pot, and the cap is a myth and there is a lot of math gymnastics that can be done, but we have to pay JJ, Danielle, Darrisaw and Kirk? We're gunna be tight up against the cap if they all get what they deserve.
Lots of injuries but I think the Bills have a decent path to the AFC Championship game with home games in the wild card and divisional rounds guaranteed.
I was saying to a buddy of mine if Allen could just protect the ball better he is the best QB in the NFL but maybe he won't make the dynamic plays and hold back if he is focusing on protecting the ball.
Budda baker and Jordan love (respect to both, outstanding players) didn't even get into the top 10 at that position fan voting only. Both named by media/insiders to the 1st team.
What's the point in Fan voting if it doesn't make any impact?
I'm not sure Kyle Juszczyk is better than CJ Ham I feel like hams had the better season twice in a row now... But Juszczyk (again respect to him, he's a stud) is getting by on name value. But it's FB... Clearly the media doesn't understand what FBs do.
It's always a total farce and every year makes me just laugh at the ineptitude of the media.
No one uses Fullbacks anymore. Juice gets in because he has been the best fullback in the league for years so someone would have to have a great year to beat him out and no one uses fullbacks so hard to have a great year.
He gets in because he's still absolutely one of the top at his position, I don't think he's the top (I think that's CJ Ham) but Jus is by no means not deserving of recognition. The problem I feel is that media (and fans to an extent) don't really know (or care) what good FB play is, pass protection or lead running blocks aren't as sexy as a pass catching RB ripping a 20yard gain. I don't want to take away anything from Jus he's a helluva FB. But my vote would be for Ham (and I do also recognise my bias).
