I didn't, I don't know enough about covenants, I know it can make rules on how you can spend your utxos, I understand how that can help L2s like LN for eg. I fail to see, as in ignorance of my part, how it can help ownership, in base chain,or similar assurances, in a high fee environment. In the post the covenants part is not expanded enough for me to understand.

I did. The solutions in the post as of now is a path like Aqua/Muun (still high fees) , WoS (custodial) , Fedi(shared custody) , or Mutiny w Fedi and covenants can improve a lot of this, all of this is true, ppl can choose their tradeoffs. What I'm saying is the problem of on-boarding someone and that someone being able to save and have full ownership, to send onchain with high fees can be impossible, keeping in LN non custodial has the problems mentioned in the post, Fedi you have to thrust. Every L2 has a tradeoff, very high fees in L1 less ownership, but we can still carry on trying to solve blockchain without blockchain.
