I hardly understand what makes a pronoun a pronoun given my lack of pre-college education, but I can offer a bit of history.
I initially spelled it stackerz following Nicki Minaj's Barbz thinking it might disambiguate it from other uses of stackers. Ultimately, I think it was too heavy handed1 and impractical for everyone to type.
