Last year, I had a goal to travel across Africa, which I unfortunately didn't achieve.
I've carried it over to this year's goals, inspired by a compelling speech by Vusi Thembekwayo. However, one major concern that struck me was the cumbersome process of obtaining visas for multiple African countries.
It's disheartening that crossing borders within Africa can be more challenging for Africans than for visitors from other continents. Vusi Thembekwayo's words resonate deeply: "You only lock a vault where there is money inside."
This reinforces my determination to explore Africa further.
Africa holds immense untapped potential for connections among like-minded individuals who can collectively contribute to our continent's growth. The barriers to cross-border travel hinder these opportunities.
Imagine a farmer in Nigeria who wants to trade directly with a manufacturer in South Africa. Currently, currency conversions and international transaction fees pose significant barriers. However, with Bitcoin, these hindrances vanish. The farmer can receive payment instantly in Bitcoin, ensuring fair and direct trade, transcending the currency barriers that traditionally stifle African transactions.
This is where my appreciation for #Bitcoin deepens; its borderless nature could revolutionize African transactions, fostering increased trade and collaboration among us.
