Interesting point about the cantillon effect. I thought it comes mostly from the guilt of the past everyone gets raised with here, making people much more susceptible to all those virtue signaling topics.

My German friends are disproportionately (out of all my euro friends) fully bought into green sustainability climate change virtue signaling circle jerk propaganda.

They're also the most susceptible to Bitcoin energy fud.

I put it down to them being at the top of the eurozone fiat cantillon pyramid to the point that the majority are completely detached of economic reality.

It reminds me of my friend complaining about heat in summer but not buying an AC - because the current state of reality is unchangable in their minds. Germans are so resistant to let's ducking go and do something.
