My initial thought has to do with globalization and the exchange of information. Researchers, scientists, and engineers from around the world collaborate and share knowledge. This has accelerated the pace of technological development by facilitating the rapid spread of ideas and innovations.

But beyond that I think open source collaboration is crucial. Open source software and hardware projects allow developers and engineers to contribute collectively to the development of technologies. For decades, new technologies and new ideas have come from individuals or groups creating or using open source software. A typical example is bitcoin and blockchain technology.

Think if before Satoshi Nakamoto things were different...

What else do you think has contributed to the development of the technology or what else do you think would also make a decisive contribution?
