At least until the time I was in Europe, there was anti-American propaganda, although in some cases it was justified in my opinion (e.g.: I was against the war in Irak and I had some doubts about the demolition of the World Trade Center). After the war in Irak, it was fear propaganda against the US or China to create an enemy and justify the existence of the European Union. Maybe it changed since then, I don't know.
