I held Monero for a while, but ultimately decided to convert it to bitcoin after some reflection.
I do not see Monero succeeding for a number of reasons, the foremost of which is mainstream adoption is highly unlikely given popular centralized exchanges for the most part will never list it (though I have been surprised by Kraken (Jesse seems like an interesting dude)). There are also fewer options in terms of wallet software compared with Bitcoin.
Although it is being fixed now, the not fully working public view key was another reason I departed, as well as ArticMine just generally talking too much (jk lol, but you know what I mean)).
Are you also leaning away from Monero and into Bitcoin? I mean, you have been hanging out with Odell more.
There are still low-cost ways to get Monero. Get onto IBC via ATOM and then you can get acquire SCRT on Osmosis, then buy sXMR on SCRT network, easily bridged onto real XMR. Can get onto ATOM from most exchanges these days.
Still big on BTC, just sayn.

Concept of SCRT is cool but pretty sure I ready Intel SGX (on which it depends) has hardware vulnerabilities
