Gave bitcoin to my two older kids. Also, for the first time, gave bitcoin to my wife's two nephews. I used to give them $50 Amazon gift card each year, but when I asked if they want bitcoin or Amazon gift card this year, they both said bitcoin; smart boys.
Gave dozens of books to coworkers and family.
Stamped 12 words (child seed) into metal washers and gifted it to my parents.... told them they'll understand when they're ready.
I introduced Bitcoin to my friends. I showed them several platforms to earn KYC free sats. I consider that better that better than gifting them with sats.
I've given 500k sats to three of my nephews this year, with instructions to hodl at least until they're 18, and have reserved that same amount for my remaining nephews and nieces that are still too young so I can give it later
Timing was good this year, they've only seem the value go up š
I bought some! Most surprisingly, my father gave me a bitcoin wallet gift card, one to my brother and one to my mother-in-law. What a surprise! I was the only one interested in bitcoin, until now! ;)
Happy Christmas everyone !š
I've given away close to a million free sats in the last 1.5 years, using Lightning and Phoenix.
But I didn't gift Bitcoin this Christmas.
People who receive sats the first time are curious, and have that WOW! moment, which is nice.
But it doesn't really convert them... They don't try to learn more and educate themselves. And they don't change their spending habits (they're still high time preference).
Most of them don't grow their stack - maybe some of them even lost their seed phrases. Because they don't really care.
Anyway, I'm keeping my sats now. And they'll get Bitcoin at the price they deserve.
Third year in a row to two of my nephews. They are hodling, but still haven't taken the plunge by putting in the time to learn.
Self love is most important so I did me
yes, added to my 3 nephews stack. Can only imagine the impact in 20 yrs!
Such a great giving community here! You Stackers are awesome! This is an amazing community, Iām blessed to be a part of!
I hope you have a happy Christmas and a small gift

To my kids who, however, have no clue about it yet, if this counts?
I'd gift corn to a friend, but... In the best case scenario he'd lose it. In the worst case scenario he'd sell it.
He's very, very far from ready.
