pull down to refresh

It's Saturday! Thus it is poll day!
It's time to weigh in on alternate jerseys. All the leagues seem to have really leaned into allowing teams to have a wide variety of jerseys and relaxed the rules about when they can wear them. Personally I prefer a home jersey, an away jersey, one regular alternate jersey and maybe a special occasion jersey once a year.
What is your position on alternate jerseys?
Love it- give a new jersey every night0.0%
Like it- a bit of variety is nice33.3%
Tolerate it- whatever, it's a jersey33.3%
Dislike it- 1 alternate only16.7%
Hate it- Mattingly trim those sideburns16.7%

I generally don't like introducing all the new jerseys, plus most of them are awful. I do like seeing throwback jerseys occasionally, especially when it's a petty flex like Tennessee pulling out the Oilers gear when they play Houston.

I think throwbacks once a year is cool. Especially if it's a classic rivalry or a notable anniversary for a remarkable season.
reply
That's exactly when I normally like to see them.

I'm with you, home, away, alt, special

It's fine... But sometimes I'm like, ok no need to make a big deal over it.
Take the vikes for example... Home Away Colour rush Throwback home White out uniforms Throwback away Throwback colour rush
It begins to get a little bit like... Ok... Quit making a big deal and just play ball

Why can't teams just make a good design from the start?
Consider the Raiders, Home: Best uniform in professional sports Away: Still super cool. Second best in sports?
I think it dilutes a team's brand value to have a bunch of different looks.
