  1. Fight bullshit and bureaucracy every time you see it and get other people to fight it too. Do not let the org chart get in the way of people working productively together.

What do you disagree with? I know you well enough to know you don't think bureaucracy is good.

Do you think that's what he means? I read it as "when you're running a corporation with thousands of employees, instill in the culture a distaste for bureaucracy."

Obviously, I don't have his experience, but I suspect getting people to trust you because you pay them is really not the best advice. Especially when it comes to helping you "fight bullshit," they should want to do this because they believe in what you believe. Otherwise, be the change you want to see, and they will follow.
