Do you try to get local businesses to accept bitcoin?

Does anyone else try to get local businesses they frequent often to accept bitcoin? Or are you simply happy to spend dirty fiat there?
I feel, personally, the businesses I'd like to stay open (with good products and good people that make the business something you care about) are ultra-vulnerable to the volatility of legacy finance world. Do I owe it to them to get them on the lifeboat?

Big misunderstanding. My apolgies. I was at a red light when I read this and thought there was only the question in the headline. I never saw that you had other questions.
I don't personally. I think toeing the line of orange pilling anyone should be taken with great caution. I orange pilled a buddy and convinced him to buy about $5,000 of BTC and he sold the second it got cut in half. He just didn't have the mental fortitude like me.
I could see a business owner doing the same exact thing. And leaving with the worst taste of BTC. Businesses can't afford a 5% loss when payroll comes lets alone 50% drawdowns

Ah, I hadn't really thought of it from this perspective. I guess I always tend to determine these types of decisions with the best outcomes in mind. I will have to check this going forward. Appreciate the discourse Boise!
