Last night our loving, friendly Siamese spotted my daughter dozing on the couch. He got a running start and leaped onto her back, claws out, and delivered a few nasty scratches.
She's fine. She was scared and startled having been woken up from a dead sleep. She's a cat lady in training. She was hugging and kissing him 10 minutes later.
What does it mean when 2 billion people share their brain with a parasite?
We're like the mice. We don't fear the cats. Instead, they make us their slaves through mind control.
Exactly, and we like it
I'd chat about this more, but I have to clean the litter box.
Litter box as in singular? I have to clean two!
It's a long story, but we actually are responsible for cleaning FOUR of them in two different locations.
The cats always win lol
I do what I'm told
First things first

Regarding the study, the suspected cause is Toxoplasma gondii, which also can cause blindness in developing fetuses. That's why pregnant women should not scoop cat litter.
