As a realtor, do you believe in the housing market as a store of value?
I believe it has been a store of value the last 40 years but won’t be in the future.
I’d like to say because of Bitcoin but that isn’t the biggest reason in my opinion.
I believe real estate in the most broad way will continue to go sideways or trend upwards for the next 10 years. We still have a hoard of millennials to enter their peak buying years.
After 10-15 years from now I could see a complete collapse due to Boomers dying en masse.
People seem to think that the millennials will keep the boomer mansions, 2nd home, rental portfolio. I’ve personally never seen it. Me and all of my colleagues see the same exact thing. Parents die and they immediately want to liquidate any and all real estate for USD.
Hard to know so take my fun prediction with a grain of salt.
